Kim Hruba

Kim Hruba is an editor, writing coach, and author with 10 years of experience providing writing services and developmental editing for a variety of projects including manuscripts, speeches, company websites, promotional materials, community newsletters, and visitor guides.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Minnesota and TEFL certificate from Hamline University. She taught English to business leaders and managers at a Berlitz School of Languages in the Czech Republic, before settling in Minnesota, USA, where she founded the Girls Lead leadership program and her business, Red Shoes Writing Solutions.

Her speaking topics include: So You Want to Write a Book, Your Voice Matters, and A Whale Is Not a Shark: How to Transform a Speech into the Written Word. Kim is the reigning Toastmasters District 64 Tall Tales champion.

She is working on her second novel and is the Saturday contributor to the Wannaskan Almanac, a daily blog where she shares stories about her family that are (mostly) true.
